I spent five years as a temporary guest of the Australian Government, Department of Immigration and Border Protection.
Looking back, my first years in Australia were defined by a desperate rush to see as much as I could in what I thought would be a short time here. Increasingly ill-advised road trips around a vast continental landscape.
This peaked around the time of these photos with the pressure of a progressively urgent need to establish my permanency, or leave.
